Bob Ballard (BA., Dip.Ed.) was born in London in 1944 and until recently was a senior lecturer at the University of the West of England. He is presently senior tutor and research associate for COREOX, University of Oxford and is also an executive member on the councils for the Society of Graphic Fine Art (SGFA) and the Bath Society of Artists (BSA). He lives in Bristol, UK.
He has been a full time artist since 1989 when he won a Goldsmiths Travel Bursary (drawing and studying Romanesque art in Spain) and has received many prizes thereafter including the Bruckhaus Derringer Award (Royal Watercolour Society). His work encompasses abstract and representative styles in a wide range of media such as sculpture, print, oil, watercolour and pastels.
